The Pause Rep High Barbell Back Squat is a useful exercise progression for intermediate to advanced level people wanting to improve their overall strength and squatting technique.
Pausing at the bottom end range of motion dramatically increases the difficulty of the movement by illuminating inertia and the stretch reflex mechanism.
