Your forearms, hands and gripping muscles get loaded every single day. Every time you pick something up, or put something down you're gripping strength is tested and grip strength workouts should use every muscle that controls your hands.
If you frequent the gym, or play a sport grip strength exercises are critical because the demand on your forearms increases exponentially … The risks of overuse injury climbs and often we face problems like golfers elbow or tennis elbow.
So how do you avoid problems or fix golfers elbow pain or tennis elbow pain once they occur?
Simple … cultivate strong grip with specific forearm workout and forearm exercises that will ensure strong forearms.
I.e. train the forearm and hands properly. Preferably with proper grip strengthener exercises and equipment like we've listed below.
To do so, you must train all of the movements that your forearms, elbows, hands and fingers can produce. And there's lots of them:
1. Ulnar and radial deviation
2. Pronation and supination
3. Flexion and extension
4. Grip crushing
5. Grip spreading
6. Grip pinching
Each of these movements also need stretching and mobility, repetitions and specific time under tension in isometric contraction.
All of which we cover extensively in the Foundation Movement System.
In this short video Yani and Kaliesha demonstrate the Grip Pinching using a specific piece of equipment designed specifically for this purpose.
We also demonstrate how you can perform this exercise if you do not have access to the equipment.
This is a brilliant, and important exercise for avoiding or overcoming forearm and elbow pain (tendonitis and tendinopathy).

Tennis elbow pain and golfer's elbow pain is annoying but with the right tennis elbow treatment including tennis elbow massage and golfers elbow massage and golfers elbow treatment, plus grip strength exercises and grip strength workout that include specific forearm exercise and forearm workouts and grip strength exercises you will develop strong grip and strong forearms. Who knows, one day you might even get a grip strength world record?!
