"So, the last one, zinc here, wide solid solubility range in aluminum, can provide solution strengthening. It improves machinability and usually, it doesn't do a whole lot if it's added in small quantities. There are some alloys in the aluminum, silicon, magnesium family that add small amounts, but then it gets pretty critical. For example, bonding behavior of the casting and actually the heat treatment can get pretty tricky, so now, I have seen alloys like that that require four stage heat treatments, so two different temperatures for solutionizing and two different aging temperatures with different times. So, then, it gets really tricky to figure all this out. But in combination with copper and magnesium, it can result into a very, very good alloy. It's very high-strength alloys, still good ductility. What we know from the forging side, of course, is 7,000 series alloys, so high-strength aerospace alloys. We see them mostly in aerospace and military applications.
But there will be alloys coming up like that in high-pressure die-casting for structural parts.
