We gave the Samsung Galaxy S8 to professional photographer David Rann to put through it paces... David has over 30 years experience shooting boxing, portraits and fashion- he also teaches 'iphoneography' and has been commissioned for several mobile camera based exhibitions. So what did he think of the S8? How did it work in low light, backlight and all the usual nasty situations that trip mobile cameras up. Would the 12MP, f1.7, 26mm camera stand up to the test? What settings would he choose to deal with these environments? The S8 performed brilliantly throughout the shoot, David was impressed by the infinity screen, the intuitive settings and all the pro features that you would find on a DSLR. He particularly liked the editing app and its wide range of functions; tone curves, filters and controls that finish the photo to professional standards.
